Of all the Regions in France none is more attractive or has more to offer than the Dordogne, and particularly Perigord Noir. Renowned for its gastronomic delights with foie gras a speciality, Perigord Noir boasts a myriad of attractions for the holidaymaker, and LA BESSE is ideally positioned to put all of them within easy reach.
LA BESSE is a typical Perigordian manoir house, part of which dates back to the 15th Century. A former tobacco farm, the house, gite and outbuildings sit in 13 acres of meadows, woodland and walnut groves which guarantee privacy, peace and tranquillity. LA BESSE is 10 kilometres north of Sarlat la Caneda, one of the best-preserved mediaeval towns in France with a world-wide reputation and adjacent to the spectacularly beautiful Dordogne Valley with its many chateaux. Ten kilometres north of the property is the attractive town of Montignac on the River Vezere, gateway to the famous Lascaux Caves, and 10 kilometres to the east, near to Salignac, are situated Les Jardins d’Eyrignac, among the finest gardens in all of France.
Scottish owners LOGAN and FAITH COTTER and their family assure guests of a very warm welcome to LA BESSE and they will do everything they can to ensure a memorable holiday.
